Knowing how to Deal With Reflections and Emotional Resolutions can Make you Stronger

Being physically healthy is not enough. We also have to make sure that we are mentally and emotionally strong. To do this, we need to keep our mental and emotional state healthy. Knowing how to deal with reflections and emotional resolutions may be one way to do so.

Reflection

It is often said that self-awareness is important to develop emotional intelligence. To become more self-aware, reflection is necessary.

Reflection involves examining your own thoughts. It also includes thinking about your feelings. Reflection is important to learn more about yourself. When you are aiming to become a better person, or when you are trying to understand yourself more, you have to examine your thoughts and feelings. We often look back at some previous experiences and how we dealt with different situations. We try to analyze whether our actions have helped solve the problems or just made things worse. We look at our insecurities and shortcomings. We look at our strengths and capacities.

Self-reflection helps us see our reality. It can also help us become successful – not by helping us to gain wealth or power, but by letting us realize what truly makes us happy.

Emotional resolution

Emotional resolution is defined as a process that helps a person resolve any stressful emotion. We have a natural capacity to regulate our behavior. If we are faced with stressful emotions, we have the capacity to resolve them.

In our daily lives, we engage in some form of emotional regulation. For example, when we are dealing with family conflict, we have a tendency to become emotionally affected. We can be violent and act rashly. But we can also choose to deal with the situation in a calmer manner.

If we have low emotional regulation, we tend to become violent or approach things in a negative way. If we are to develop high emotional resolution, we can regulate our behavior and approach things in a more mature, non-violent, and positive way.

Reflection and emotional resolution: keys to success

When we are able to do self-reflection and emotional resolution, we learn more about ourselves. We learn about our strengths and weaknesses. We get to have open minds. Before we analyze our surroundings and other people, we have to be self-aware first. These processes can help in our personal growth.

When we are able to reflect on our own mental and emotional state, we can understand them better and even master them. When we do, we become better people. A person who does self-reflection can manage their emotions and impulses.

In addition, it has been said that the exterior is actually the reflection of the inner self. So the way we view our world is influenced by our inner self – if the world seems good and beautiful, it is because we appreciate its beauty; on the other hand, if we see the world as something dark and hopeless, it is because of our own negative thoughts.

Ways to develop good reflections and emotional resolutions

  • Understand your needs.

We are humans so we have a lot of needs. Our actions are determined by our needs so we have to try to understand them.

  • Analyze your strengths and weaknesses.

Reflection should be a way for you to recognize your strengths and be aware of your weaknesses. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses can help you become a better person.

  • Observe your surroundings.

We are often influenced by what we see from other people and our environment. Your reflections can help you realize the reasons for your decisions and actions. Emotional resolution can help you deal with negative emotions that may be generated by what we encounter.

  • Learn how to let go of negativities.

Let go of any unpleasant or negative emotion or thinking. It may be hard, but it will benefit you in the long run. You should attract positive energy instead of embracing negativity.

  • Do daily reflections.

It will be hard to develop good reflection and emotional resolution if you do not practice daily. Take some time to reflect on what happened on that day.

It may not be easy, but knowing how to deal with reflections and emotional resolutions can make you stronger.
